From Humble Beginnings in Murbad to a Movement Across India
LIFT Foundation was founded in Murbad, Maharashtra, with a heartfelt mission: to create a more inclusive, capable and hopeful society. Every great movement begins with a first step, and ours began with a handful of people who believed that kindness, leadership and opportunity can change the future.
Today, LIFT is a non-profit public charitable trust. Every rupee and every resource we receive goes back to the purpose it was given for: serving people in need.

Meet the Founding Trustees
LIFT is guided by a dedicated Board of Trustees who volunteer their time, energy and heart for the greater good. The Trust may grow to as many as 21 trustees as more caring people join our mission. Our trustees meet regularly, at least twice a year, to review our work, make decisions together and keep LIFT firmly on course.

Mrs. Bharati Ganesh Tibe brings over a decade of dedicated grassroots engagement across Murbad and rural Thane. Driven by a deep personal conviction that community transformation begins when mothers, daughters, and rural youth are granted genuine leadership avenues, she co-founded LIFT Foundation to build permanent, institutional pathways for rural dignity, holistic health, and quality education.

Miss Shraddha Mohan Nijai is an energetic development practitioner focused on bringing modern digital literacy, skill-based vocational pathways, and modern educational methodologies to young learners in rural and semi-urban Maharashtra. Her vision bridges the gap between urban technological advancement and rural potential, ensuring that youth in Murbad are future-ready.

No trustee profits from the Trust. All programmes run completely free or at small subsidised rates meant only to cover direct essential cost.

We keep meticulous records and get our accounts audited every year under the Income Tax Act, 1961, and public charitable trust laws.

Statutory filings, annual returns, resolutions, and dual-trustee signing mandates are maintained with complete institutional integrity.
